left shoulder pain constipation

I have the same left shoulder pain and chronic constipation.  The doctors are not taking it seriously.  I am also gaining weight despite serious exercise.  I have been doing accupunture. The chineese say that my blood is not circulating properly and somewhere there is a blockage.  So they are trying to push it.  The insurance covered. Also I started with Swedish Bitters out of desparation and it is working. Try it too.  I rub myself externally with the pulp and take it internally.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Left shoulder pain can be due to gas built up by chronic constipation. However, the possibility of a heart issue cannot be ruled out completely. Hence consult a doctor for a 12 lead EKG.
Chronic constipation can be due to diet poor in roughage or fiber, dehydration, diabetes, hypothyroidism, colon disorders, irritable bowel syndrome, diverticular diseases, cancers, severe acidity etc. It can also be due to milk allergy and other food allergies. Please consult a gastroenterologist to find the cause.
Take care!

left shoulder pain may be referred pain from the vagus nerves association with the left hemi-diaphram.

anything that irritates the diaphram, like something wrong with the left colon can cause referred pain to the left shoulder.

in other words, the 2 things may be connected.
