Hi Kaylah16. I feel for you. I've been in a similar situation. They didn't have the outreach social organizations that they do now. This might be tough but you are going to have to take the initiative and get they help on your own. School Guidance  Councelors are a good start they can find information and organizations to get you started. Your family doctor might have suggestions . What worked best for me was  going through the yellow pages and found phone numbers for mental health organizations and phoned them myself. I felt empowered. I felt I had to get knowlege to help myself. the more you know about your illnes the less helpless you feel.  I know you feel let down by your parents but have faith in your own strength and resourcefulness.

Hey Im sorry that you are really depressed and your parents arent doing anything about it. Im not sure how you can convince them. Maybe they dont want to accept that theres something going on with you. Not sure. All I can think of is to keep trying. And if your under age maybe see if someone else and adult or family member whos and adult might be able to help you maybe go see someone if your parents refuse to. Hope things get better. Its hard being depressed.
