pancreas problem

I recently had an ultrasound scan on my abdomen, the result of it was that, the tail end of my pancreas was not showing up on the scan. A furtherCT scan is being arranged
What would be the likeliest reason for that to happen..

From what I've been able to tell, the entire pancreas is often not seen on an ultrasound because it is located deep in the abdomen, and bowel loops and fat can make visualization difficult.

If they need a complete image of the pancreas then an MRI or CT are your only options I believe. Bets of luck.
