checking in

hey ladies....just wanted to check in and see how you are all doing??

i also wanted to take a minute and make you all aware of post partum depression....i am by no means a doctor but i was finally diagnosed with it today

i have been crying every single day....i yell out loud i hate my life more than i ever have....i want to hide in a room in isolation and yet im so lonely....emotionally i am drained

if you dont feel normal mood-wise after having your baby please dont wait to talk to a doc...waiting has made it so much worse for me now

i started meds and i will be attending therapy to deal with my post partum depression

I'm sorry about that and I can completely understand what you're going through, I went through the same thing with my daughter and it took me a while to accept it and to get over it.  You need a very good support network around you, I hope that your husband is very supportive.....just remember you have beautiful children and you need to be strong for them. They love you and need you!

I had a lack of support from my in-laws and my husband worked alot and all my family live in Australia, I was alone most of the time and just got negative comments from my in-laws about raising children, breastfeeding, I was really alone and isolated. Try to meet as many positive people around you or join a group with other mothers so you can have more social contact, that also played a major role in my PPD. If you need to chat just let me know xoxo

I'm so sorry you're going through this, but you did a great thing by talking to your doctor!  I believe I had it with my son - didn't develop immediately but gradually crept up on me.  I was also extremely anxious.  I wish I had gotten help sooner than I did!  Hope the meds and therapy kick in quickly!
