The Sunday before I delivered I went to hospital and was 6cm 100% affaced, but contractions werent regular so they sent me home. Anyways he told me if my contractions became any sort of regular or consistent to go to hospital and not wait as I could deliver in car etc.. but in the and they did break my water. I hardly felt my contracrions till then. As soon as the broke my water it was push time.
My drs told me to call if contractions were 5min apart for hr straight or if water breaks.
You can go all natural, it wasn't as bad as I thought. Yes it hurts, but try to focus and relax and don't fight your body, if you need to push , push! Im a ftm and with my first push I felt like,I was pooping and I kept asking " are you sure I'm not pooping" lol.
You'll do great! I hope your labor is nice and easy.
I guess knowing when's the right time to go depends on your body and what you and your doctor discuss. But I know what you mean you don't want to seat in hospital forever when you could be home. I was ,at hospital for under 7 hrs total before having my daughter.
True true! One question how will I know when im in transition for sure? Im planning on staying at home as long as u can but I don't want to give birth here! Lol although I've looked it up just in case. ) but it not something im educated in and I'd hate to traumatize my husband with that too lol is there a sign that Ill feel or know when its time to go?
Yes... it could feel like a very long drive and walk into the hospital. Worth it to be at home as long as possible!
Thank you sooo much! I will deffinetly try the relaxion technique. And that's my plan staying home until the very end im pretty sure the drive will stink but its only 3 mins ;)
Congrats! You are almost there! I have the same issue with hospitals, as they make me a bit tense. But be reassured in your own plan! You are in control and when you walk into that hospital just remember that. I want you to feel empowered by your choices and to have faith in your own body. That alone should help you stay in the moment with your labor. Keep the mantra to be open and relaxed for your baby so that delivery will come easier. If you find you are clenching your fists (for example) start at the top of your head and go through each body part relaxing each muscle till you reach your toes. Make sure your partner and/or birth attendant will speak for you at the hospital so you can remain in your own zone. I love that you are so close to the hospital. I would encourage you to wait till transition to move. It might be a hellish time to travel but it will keep you distracted and by the time you get in your room it will be show time.
Best wishes for a beautiful labor and delivery.
