Bad Dreams??

As many of you know, I am about to begin week 6 on triple therapy with incevik.  I am also currently taking Lexapro to help with anxiety/depression.  I have been experiencing numerous very graphic and disturbing dreams for the last couple of weeks.  I am not sure if it's the tx or the Lexapro....or a combination of both?  I have even awakened my husband by yelling out in my sleep.  I have been exhausted the past couple of nights, and thankfully have been able to get a good nights rest without being awakened by the dreams; however, they come almost every night and several per night at that.  Has anyone else experienced this?  If so, were you able to do anything to help?

I'm on 20mg of lexapro and I came looking for answers. I also have awful VERY graphic dreams EVERY night... And multiple in one night, it's awful to me as this medicine is supposed to make me feel better but is causing so many awful dreams. I stopped taking it a few days ago, I'm waiting for it to wear off. My father and I aren't close at all and he did awful things to me and most of the dreams have him in it, either way it's never a happy dream... For whatever reason

It could be anything. I mean so much is different about your routine now that it is difficult to predict.   In looking back I feel like the high fat diet on Incivek was a physical & emotional stressor.

If the dreams cease at the end of the Incivek period then you will know it is possible they may have been triggered by a high fat diet.

This site mentions several reasons but I found the one on fat interesting.
Fat Content of Food (High fat consume throughout the day)
Though far from conclusive, some research has indicated that the more high-fat food you consume during the day, the greater the chance that the amount and quality of your sleep may suffer. A small study published in 2007 in Psychological Reports found that the dreams of people who ate a high amount of organic food differed from those who ate “junk foods.” The authors hypothesize that certain foods may negatively influence dreaming.

The Epicurious site mentions it as well (High fat prior to bed)
This one mentions a small study back in 2000 of ten people who had High fat food prior to sleep & then measured their dreams on a "dream machine:

I noticed during my 48 week tx that I rarely remembered my dreams, not even little bits of them.  I'm not sure if it had something to do with brain fog or the mind being tired, but now the tx is over, I'm back to remembering, sometimes with great detail.   I wasn't taking any AD's or sleep pills during tx.

I had occasional vivid bad dreams, but not every night, or even every week. I think they were worse near the end of treatment (36 weeks, INF and Riba).

I attributed it to high stress and anxiety. In the past, during stressful periods in my life, I have had pretty graphic, violent dreams.

My doc gave me sleeping pills right at the beginning of treatment - just in case. I don't weigh a lot, so I can get away with taking half a pill. That way I don't feel groggy the next morning. I don't remember bad dreams when I take them.
