how do u put ur baby to bed

I read something on the internet that said u can get baby comfortable to sleep in there crib in a week.

They said to put her in her crib awake and give her her pacifier and if she drops it and starts to cry don't give it back to her and it might take up yo 20  min for her to fall asleep. And it said I can check on her but not to pick her up or turn on the lights and still don't giver her the pacifier. I have tryed it for a few days and it don't seem to be getting ant easier
does this not sound like a good idea. And also does anyone have any techniques on how to get her to fall a sleep on her own

I breast feed so my daughter is on me when she falls asleep and then i put her down. Im trying to get her onto a bottle by expressimg but because shes teething she just chews on the bottle!!
Shes never actually fell asleep with out being latched on except when out in the car or in her pushchair! for her afternoon nap she will latch on and fall straight asleep but if i put her down she wakes..... i think ive buggered myself by not putting her down for the first few weeks lol

Bath every night one more feeding and wrap her in blanket with pacifier. Sometimes i can hold her and she will fall asleep other times she just wants to be in her bed. The bath is part of a routine, babies have easier time of understanding bath then food then bed.

I put my lo on her stomach and gently pat her back. My older daughter I put on her back and she cried herself to sleep 3 nights and got use to it. This one whimpers but doesn't really cry. She won't go to sleep in anyone's arms without fighting her sleep.

I bathe my little one with the lavender, massage him I wait to feed him n I play with him. I feed him n burp him good n lay him down. He ***** his thumb so self soothes himself. if he gets to fussy he lays on his stomach also.
