5 mos with abd pressure

I'm 20 weeks and for the past couple weeks I've been having pressure right above my pubic bone and across my lower stomach. I've ignored it because I have an appt in a couple days but its getting worse. It hurts to go up the stairs or to get up from a sitting or laying position. Its not cramping, and I'm not bleeding. Just moderate to severe pressure. What could this be?

I have similar pain and im 18 weeks... I have an u/s on Tuesday and have told my doctor my pubic bone has been hurting since about 12 weeks.  She said it was normal with the growing and shifting uterus and that it would hurt sooner on since this is my 2nd baby. But 12 werks?? It hurts to lift my leg too high, stand up, walk, and move from a lying down to sitting position, it even hurts to get in the car. I have to sit down and lift my legs inside the car. Im going to adk about it again on Tuesday.

Hi!
If you were my patient, I would wonder if you might have a small separation of the symphsis of the pubic bone.  This can happen during pregnancy and can be quite painful.  I would also test for a urinary tract infection and I would consider an ultrasound to be certain that your cervix was not starting to funnel or dilate.  If the pubic bone IS the problem, wrapping a wide belt around the outside of your  hips and "scrunching" the hip bones back together when you need to get up or walk, etc.  can help.
Good luck!
