Okay I know its been a while since I posted on this website. To all the ladies who have helped me with information, advice and even words of encouragement I thank you.
Okay before I ask my question let me give u a brief medical history. I have PCOS, had a laparotomy done bout 3yrs ago, dey removed a teratoma and ever since I'm havng continuos problems. Been on different medication to regulate my menstruation but nothng seems to help. If I'm not suffering from excessive bleeding then I'm not geting my period at all. Fustrating I know but wat can I do hey. Anyway What I wanna know now is, what does the thickening of the uterus wall mean? I went for a check up about a month ago and the doc said that according to my ultrasound I my uterus wall is too thick. I have no idea wat that means or what causes it, can anybody help me plse?

HI,
Thickening of the wall of the uterus can be due to myo-hyperplasia which means thickening of the uterine muscle wall. Another cause of thickening can be deposits in the uterine wall which is known as adenomyosis. This can be the reason for excessive bleeding during menses. This may be associated with endometrial hyperplasia.
