vasectomy and infidelity

I had a terrible lapse in judgement a few months ago. Me and another woman stepped out on our partners together. I just found out that she is pregnant for about 20 weeks. I had a vasectomy done a year ago. Negative on two sperm tests.  I took the at home sperm check in nov to make sure there was no recanalization. which came back negative .and after recieving this news I gave my dr. A sample to look under a microscope. Negative as well. So if there is no sign of recanalization is there still a chance the child is mine? She was active with her partner at the time using pull out method for birth control

Thanks. So are all the flukes on the internet less common than it seems?

Hi!
If you were my patient, I would advise you that it would be quite unlikely for you to be the father.  The sperm count should go to zero about 3 months after a vasectomy and then remain there.  It sounds like yours has done.
A DNA test never hurts, but I would only do this if she is requesting something like child support--and then you want to establish a good chain of custody for the evidence.  (Your attorney can help you with that)
Good luck!
