Funny you mentioned hospitalization. I got so bad suddenly that I began shaking and the in tenseness of that while talking to my mother long distance it built up until I began screaming so realizing she was right as she told me to go and get some help, I did and ended up in a Crisis Stablization Unit, voluntary not hospital but some strict rules and therapy plus med changes or additions which I was given Abilify and it seems that it is making me feel better, thanks for the replies.

well I got my first diagnosis in a mental health hospital if your condition is severe enough for you to not work you should look into that as an option they monitor your behavior you see counselors and psychiatrists daily and it's not east to just be admitted you have to be having severe depression/suicidal thoughts or a plan to harm yourself, im not saying if you don't feel these things to fake them because they will see right through it but if you are thats a n option and who told you you couldn't work anymore due to your dx?? sadly you will most likely be denied at first it's going to be a long battle I had all of the evidence needed and it still took me 3 years to get approved but you may be lucky i will keep my fingers crossed for you. most lawyers wont take your case without medical records and doctors who support your claim though thats the only thing

Wish I could rely on my doctors(some ) of them as you have been able, Im glad to see another person that has a good relationship with their drs, mine is all business, asks questions, gets up and rushes and hopes I don't have another questions. And Im on a "waiting list now for 6 months" just to see a psychiatrist, I wish they would get on the ball, I need an official dx of bipolar, the other psychs call it a mood disorder when I ended up in a crisis stabilization unit at the beginning of February. Your help is very appreciated. How can I get these guys to cooperate? Through an Attorney, but I have no money to pay him for this service. My first initial interview is over the phone on March 10 and then I will  probably hire one if I am not approved and I live alone so I have no one else to back me up and I have no job since I was told I couldn't work and answer that when asked as I have found out but you can do part time work, up to 1,070 dollars a month.

Thanks for your feedback, I am surprised at how no answers are given and the threads aren't changing, guess its  just slow, people busy.

a mood disorder can warrant for ssdi and ssi although you have to have multiple doctors and psychiatrist and counselors who are willing to back up your claims with medical records and also be able to show the severity and why you cant work i was just recently approved after 3 years denials a hearing with the alj and hiring a lawyer to help me. Luckily I had my doctor on board my psychiatrist and my counselor all in agreement I suffer from schizoaffective disorder, ocd, agoraphobia, generalized anxiety with panic attacks, and dissociative identity disorder not including my physical ailments of chronic migraines and fibromyalgia when the judge based their decision it was all on my mental health hope this helps
