Hi
I am dealing with the same problem. Last night i was at ER because of my panic attack WITH bigemeny! My heart was beating so fast and every other heartbeat came in double. I know this was an old question. But I wrote my answer here still in case someone finds it someday. I send you all strength. Living with this is not easy.
Hello I just found this old post and I am experiencing this exact symptom. All my life I've had pvc and pacs but since few days ago I am having panic attacks with fast HR and it triggers bigeminy / quadrigeminy or both. It's really scary to feel your heart beating like crazy and at a irregular rhythm at same time. I think it's all anxiety cause everytime I had this symptom I was kind of anticipating it. Then I felt that strange panic feeling, HR going crazy and bigeminy. I've had many ekg, echo, stress test, Holter, blood tests and all were perfectly fine,so I don't know what else I can do, except trying to fight anxiety.
Hi, I'm a 29 y/o female and I understand your situation. I always get bigeminy when I have a panic attack. I just had a bad episode last week. I have been having bigeminy with my panic attacks since I was 13. My cardio doctor didn't mention anything dangerous about it. He just said try not to worry. Its harder than they think for us sufferers to not worry. I just tell myself that I've been through this so many times and I am still alive. My heart literally beats super fast WITH bigeminy when I am having a bad panic attack. Actually, all it takes is just a small rush of adrenaline to set off my bigeminy. I'm sorry you are going through this, but know you are not alone. :)
I have off and one through out the years. I am pretty comfortable to say that I know during normal circumstances bigeminy or palpitations or panic attacks by themselves wont kill me but what concerns me the most about those words and has me worried is having bigeminy during a panic attack. So I was hoping to see if anyone can ease my mind and say they have them too during panic attacks at times.
I would trust the results of the tests that were done that cleared you, than the blunt words of an ER doc who was probably frustrated that you were in his ER. Emergency rooms get anxiety patients quite often and some doctors have more patience and compassion than others. Trust your personal doctor and the technology that gave you a healthy diagnoses.
Thinking you are having a heart attack or heart failure is one of the most common symptoms of panic attacks. Of course thinking it does not make it reality. Your thoughts and worries are real, but your self diagnosis is not. When you feel an attack coming on, talk yourself through it. Remind yourself that you've been here before and it has always been nothing. Breath calmly, and try not to hyperventilate, that will only make your symptoms worse.
Do you see a therapist?
