Do I have an infection?

Hi, I've been sick for almost 3 months now with the same thing. After the first week I went to the beach and I did that for 4 days. I got worse. By then I had a lot of mucus (sometimes green) and sneezing a lot. I went to the doctor and he told me to take prednisone.  But I still feel the same except that I don't sneeze now and don't have the green mucus. But, I can't breath correct, I have a headache all the time, like pressure on my head, I feel dizy, and I feel really tired, my legs hert.

Everything started with a flu. What worries me the most is the trouble brething. I can't go to the doctor until May 1st because I don't have insurance.

What do you think it could be?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Any illness, respiratory or other that lasts 3 months deserves careful evaluation.  The information you have provided suggests that the primary problem is respiratory (in your lungs or upper respiratory tract) and the first step should be for your doctor determine what is going on in your lungs or sinuses as it is likely that the other symptoms you describe especially “headache all the time”  and fatigue are likely to be secondary to the respiratory problem.

There are many causes of “trouble breathing” but physical examination and a chest X-ray will probably enable your doctor to establish the cause and start you on effective treatment.

Good luck
