Help

I've been diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea. I also have major sinus problems. I've tried the bipap and cpap machines with many different mask and can't find anything I can tolerate. The mask is one thing, but the air being forced causes my sinus problems to increase by stopping up my nose which makes me breathe through my mouth which as everyone knows won't work. Does anyone have issues close to what I have or any other suggestions. thanks

Hi I know how you feel as I have same problems with my nose getting blocked etc and my mouth goes so dry my tongue sticks to roof of mouth. I told my cpap dr and he suggested I have a humidifier which attaches to cpap machine, I'm also on oxygen. This is my first week with humidifier and I feel so much better, I haven't had a blocked nose all week. Have you tried one of these? As you can imagine with cpap machine, humidifier and oxygen blowing up my nose I didn't think I would ever feel well again! But things seem ok at the moment

Hi hunter, I also have sleep apnea and terrible sinus problems. But have found using the Climitline heated hose to be very soothing to my sinus's, keeps my nasal passages open and breathing easier, I did need to use a full face mask due to my mouth breathing issues.
It's a learning experience to find what works an what doesn't don't give up:)
