Spot inner cheek

I have had this spot on my inner cheek at the very back. Its been there about a month and a half. Its usually white and red. Often times the white part will go away and the spot will look fine maybe a tiny bit red but barely noticeable then it will come back again the next day. This keeps happening off and on. I went to the doc he said it looked fine but when he seen it it was mostly healed. I do have a badly decayed tooth right above it but its not jagged. It does not hurt at all. Its not hard either. I do not smoke or drink. Any idea what this could be? Also the white spot does not seem to wipe off very easily.

It doesn't sound like oral thrush since its not wipeable, usually a diagnostic test to see if it is thrush.  It may be lichen planus?  Not sure.  You may want to ask your dentist to check it again or get a referral to someone else who can diagnose it properly

my doctor did tell me I could come back in a month if its not gone but im worried in the mean time of oral cancer. this spot it changing a lot. sometimes its white. sometimes its just red sometimes its not visible at all. it does not hurt. it developed after I took antibiotics so I wonder if it could be oral thrush. does this sound typical of oral thrush?

I would have it checked again when it is more noticeable.  It is important to rule out anything that could cause problems in the future.  It could just be irritation from the broken tooth above it, but it's better to be safe than sorry.
