Penis Puzzle

I know you get hundreds of questions about penis bumps, but here goes another for the record.  About 8 months ago I noticed a dark colored skin growth at the bottom of the shaft on one side of the penis.  On the other side was two small white looking bumps.  Up until this point I had not had unprotected sex in over 2 years and married.  I went to a dermatologist who specializes in skin care and cancers.  The dermatologist said it could be warts or just normal growths and removed them.  I checked with the dermatologist a week later and he said there were no issues with the tests and no viral infections and gave me the medical name for something he said was completely normal and nothing to be concerned about.  I was still worried and constantly examining myself and noticed three or four other white spots that looked similiar in nature so I went back to the doctor.  The doctor said it was the same thing and said he could remove them for cosmetic reasons and did so.  Again he called and said not condyloma and not to worry.  They mailed me a brochure on what I was labeled with which was basically normal skin growths so I could read more on it.  My wife had a pap in January of this year that was fine, but I guess I am a compulsive worrier about this issue.  I've read all the stuff about warts and it's scary.  Is it possible for one partner to have warts and not the other?  Should I get a second opinion even though the doctors seemed very competent?  I didn't tell my wife of the procedure because i didn't want to alarm her for nothing. Thanks for any ideas you may have!!

Hello - I have noticed white spots around the tip of the penis, surrounding the head of the penis. There are a lot of small white bumps ( less than 1mm in diameter) about 40 spots. You can't really squeeze them like pimples, they are very small, it does hurt if i want to squeeze one. They are Not under the skin .  I m hoping for a quick response, Thanks!!!!! thank u MR Rockoof

I have a question......

I was scratching myself, and scratched my penis with a hang nail.  The scratch became infected, and I went to the doctor. The doc gave me lotrisome. I used it for the 2 week period and everything was fine.  This was in March 02.  Since then, I guess I was parinoid, but every so often my penis would itch...I would use a little of the lotrisone.  There is a ring around my penis that becomes irritated quite easily, when i scratch, have sex with my wife or masturbate. It becomes irritated, it itches, the skin seems to be tight and thin, and sometimes it peels. After reading the side effects of lotrisome I have stopped using it all together, and if it gets irritated I use lotion, which seems to be a temperary solution. What I want to know is, have I created permenant damage? Is there an over the counter cream I can buy that will help my problem, or should I go back to the doctor? Thank you, and any help will be appretiated.

You need to stop worrying.  Although it is possible for one partner to have warts and not the other, you have certainly done more than due diligence to determine that you do not in fact have warts.  Your dermatologist certainly sounds patient and competent, and any dermatologist sees so many genital warts that they ought to know well how to diagnose them.  With your wife having anormal Pap smear, you really have nothing to worry about.  Don't look too hard!

Best.
