Bruised Penis Head or Just Harmless Pigmentation?

I am 30 years old and have erectile dysfunction (ED). I was having outercourse 2 weeks ago, where I was thrusting my penis against a woman's vaginal area. Apparently, she had short regrowing hairs that I could feel at the time. Ever since, my penis head, especially around the glans area, has a large patch of different colored skin. When my penis is totally flaccid, they are brown patches, but when my penis is fuller, these patches become more visible and have more of a light bluish color to them, but I have no pain.

To complicate things, many ED treatments have not worked well(viagra and similar oral medications)so I am looking to try a penile vacuum pump to produce a usable erection. In addition, I would also like to use the pump on a light-moderate daily regimen to help rebuild my vascular health in that region. The pump I have is FDA approved (it has a pressure limiter too) and is from the same manufacturer many urologists prescribe. One of the side-effects of pumping is that the penis can get bruised, which usually occurs if too much pressure is used or sometimes when an erection has not occurred in a long time (me). Anyway, my questions are:

1) Is this discoloration a bruise or a harmless change in pigmentation?

2) Will this area be more susceptible to bruising from the penile vacuum pump?

3) Should I wait to this clears up before using the pump, how long will it be, and would the pump interfere in the healing process?

Whether it's a bruise (red color from blood) or brown pigmentation (from melanin) doesn't matter very much, functionally or medically.  Having said that, color that comes so fast must be a bruise.  Wait a couple of weeks and it will go away.  As to whether a pump would bruise you more, I guess you'd just have to try it to see.  But a bruise doesn't represent any permanent damage.

Best.
