My Birth Experience!

Yesterday morning I had my baby boy at 5:22 am. I gave birth naturally. Crazy Right! I was already in labor but they still induced me with something they called a "shoelace". I don't remember the name but it's a string they put behind the cervix to help dilate the cervix quickly. The contractions were so horrible that I thought I would need an epidural. I barely got any sleep because of all of the pain. My nurse told me to take deep breaths and it worked. Before I knew it I was 10 cm and ready to push. I didn't feel contractions anymore luckily. I just felt pressure like I had to go take a dump. Lol. I pushed 3 good times and my son came out. I only pushed for about 5 to 10 minutes. Holding my breathe worked. I guess I was lucky because usually it takes a while for people to push their baby out. I pushed really hard because the nurses kept saying "Harder" and that motivated me. May 4th was the best day of my life. I would do it all over again if I had to. Good luck to everyone waiting on their baby to arrive and congrats to the moms that already delivered their babies. ❤ Any questions?

Congratulations :) my mum has had 9 natural deliveries 5 home births and 2 unassisted. I have planned an unassisted home water birth and am super excited. I'm due this Wednesday. Glad to hear of others pushing through to go all natural, much better for mum and bub. Our bodies were created to do this :)

I want to go natural as well. Any tips on coping with the pain? How long were you in labor for? Did your water break? I'm so curious.
