new to quitting

Hi all, I am new here and am finally ready to quit smoking cigs. I'm 44, and been smoking since I was 15! Just looking for some support and advice . I am a very hard core smoker , have only quit twice in all those years, when I was pregnant and that's it. I have not even set a quit date but know I need to very soon. I am tired of coughing and wheezing every day! I recently have been sick w a cold I got from my kids and now it's lingering on 14+ days of prolonged hacking , this is ridiculous I can be so sick and for so long and still smoke through it! I have cut back a lot due to this but still haven't quit entirely . but this has really opened my eyes to the absolute need to quit!!

Welcome to the community.  If you type "nicotine' in the search box you will find a "Nicotine Addiction Community"  They may have more information specific to smoking.

Good luck with quitting the cigs.
