I tried the swaddling but my son hates being wrapped up like that he likes his arms free so i use a hot water bottle. I warm up his moses basket and his extra blanket so when i put him down its still warm so he thinks he is still being cuddled works every time :)
^^Agreed. Swaddling also stops there arms from flailing all around which over stimulates them. If I my put my daughter in her bassinet without a swaddle she immediately jolts her arms all around and gets riled up (unless she's in a deep sleep). They have velvrow swaddlers that you can buy that are a lot easier and more secure then using a cloth or a blanket
Swaddle her tightly in a blanket and I guarantee she will sleep soundly where ever you put her. Babies like to be wrapped tightly because it reminded them of being in the womb and it's comforting. My son is swaddled up sleeping in his crib right now. I am a mother of 3 and it works every time. Google swaddling a baby to see how to properly wrap the baby up.
