My first and maybe last labor story haha

my dr decided to induce me. I was 40 wks. I started having contractions late at night and decided to get the epidural, the epidural didn't hurt at all and the contractions had stopped. 6hrs later the contractions started again and they were very painful, I called in the nurse and she said they could give me epidural again, so I got excited and waited. When the next shift crew started I had asked for my epidural and she said I couldn't have it at all. I was so scared because the pain was severe. The contractions got worse and worse, I was screaming and crying and the nurses would just laugh. I can handle pain so it wasn't like I was benign over dramatic, the nurses were very mean which made everything a lot worse. They said I would have to push 3 hrs because she was still high in there and I cried and cried. I pushed and 30 minutes later she came out. I had a 3rd degree tear and was severely anemic because I bled out a lot, I also developed a uterus infection and I got horrible itchy bumps all over my body. She is now 1 month old and I'm still dealing with everything but I'm glad she's healthy. I would like another kid but this experience scared me out of it haha

I know, everyone told me that I should've got crazy with  them, but honestly I was so focused on the pain that I didn't even care at the time haha. and yes I delivered in California, they said that I couldn't have any more epidural because then I wouldn't feel myself pushing and it would make things complicated which would probably cause an emergency c section.

Omg.. This sounds truly like a Horror story! I would def have complained if a nurse laughed at me probably choked her out too (jk jk) that's nonsense tho.. Your labor should of been pleasant and not felt any discomfort. I say next time deliver at a diff hospital. Did you deliver in CALIFORNIA? Shoot my nurses were amazing and did the epidural and had this button that i could push whenever i felt discomfort and medicine would go right in my epidural. My nurse pumped so much medicine that I couldn't feel anything. Don't be discourage..I really think you just had a bad experience due to the stupid nurses..
