Why am I hungy but can't eat?

I have this weird stomach problem in which I'm really hungry but can't eat a thing. This started when I was 14 and then disappeared within a month or two. Then it came back when I was 16 which lasted for the same time. The only thing I ate were bananas and rice or the majority of the time I barely ate anything all day because I was so nauseous. I went to the doctor to get x-rays and possibly find out what's wrong with me but they say that they can't find anything as to why I have these stomach problems. Also, what's weird about it is that only comes every two years. What can I do to prevent the same thing to happen again?

Could be depression . Depression or any other mental illness can effect your hunger . If not that , then try getting an ultrasound on your stomach . There could be an underlying condition . I had a similar issue except I would be nauseas and vomit after eating . I know this isn't very informative , but I hope this insight helps some .
