Low vitamin d/tingling/burning/ muscle pain

Hi all, sorry for my English, it is not my language.

Everything started 4 months ago. First tingling in my hands, after that tingling in my feet. I went to a neurologist, MR, EMG, tests, everything came normal. But my symptomps got worse.
The tingling sometimes is burning (burning feet) and burning arms, with muscle pain.
I went to many different doctors, at the end, an internist discovered I had vitamin d deficiency at 11, and my PTH came at 155 (due to my severe vitamin d deficiency)
I am on 8.000 ui per week, this is my 4th week.
I thought it would take time, of course, but instead of feeling better, I'm feeling worse. The burning is worse, the pain in my arms and joints is worse. I am absolutely desperate.

I have seen another two neurologists and they tell me everything is in my head or I have anxiety... But I know something wrong is going on.
My internist told me (based on my symptoms) that I could have small feber neuropathy. I am going to have more tests done, more lab tests and I am very scared.

They have put me on gabapentin (I couldn't tolerate it) cymbalta (I couldn't either) and now I am on tryptizol (only for 4 days).
I have read that all kinds of neuropathy, can get good results with alpha lipoic acid, so I am taking it since two days ago.

I am only 39 years old with two small twins, I am so scared, I cry almost every night. I still have the hope that all of these is due to my low vitamin d levels, but many doctors tell me that vitamin d only affects muscles and bones (not tingling or burning sensation)
I am so desperate!!!!

B12 levels below 200 are extremely deficient and many doctors feel the actual level of deficiency should be at 400. Most people have levels between 800-1,000

Are you at 800 level for B12?

How to Determine Adenosylcobalamin Deficiency

High levels of Methylmalonic Acid (MMA) in the blood or the urine reflect inadequate adenosylcobalamin levels. One study found people with reported MMA levels of .27 micromoles per liter or higher (.26 or above indicates B12 deficiency) may show higher homocysteine levels, while those at .60 may suffer from neurological issues. Testing for MMA will reveal whether the body is adenosylcobalamin deficient.

"Vitamin B12 (cyancobalamin, Cbl) has two active co-enzyme forms, methylcobalamin (MeCbl) and adenosylcobalamin (AdCbl). There has been a paradigm shift in the treatment of vitamin B12 deficiency such that MeCbl is being extensively used and promoted. This is despite the fact that both MeCbl and AdCbl are essential and have distinct metabolic fates and functions. MeCbl is primarily involved along with folate in hematopiesis and development of the brain during childhood. Whereas deficiency of AdCbl disturbs the carbohydrate, fat and amino-acid metabolism, and hence interferes with the formation of myelin. Thereby, it is important to treat vitamin B12 deficiency with a combination of MeCbl and AdCbl. Regarding the route, it has been proved that the oral route is comparable to the intramuscular route for rectifying vitamin B12 deficiency."

I ordered a liquid B12 by Global Health called Vegan Safe B12. I've never used this product so I cannot verify that it works. Is has Methylcobalamin & Adenosylcobalamin.

D3 utilizes your magnesium stores, so while you are building up your D3, it is sucking out your Magnesium faster than a RDA dose of Magnesium can replace it.  Then you will get Magnesium deficiency symptoms...which can also be uncomfortable and dangerous.

You may be in normal range for magnesium but it's quickly being used and deficiencies can arise.

While not Technically a factor in Vitamin D Absorption, magnesium is required in order for Vitamin D to be converted into its 'active form' in the blood. So, if you are magnesium deficient (see the Signs of Magnesium Deficiency page to find out)- then you will likely have difficulty converting the Vitamin D into a usable form in your body. In fact, many of the so-called Side Effects of Vitamin D, like:
Constipation
Muscle Cramps
Insomnia
Anxiety from Vitamin D
Heart Palpitations
are actually Signs of Magnesium Deficiency and often go away if Magnesium and Vitamin D are taken TOGETHER.
The key point about magnesium is that it is best absorbed in small amounts through the day.
So you will absorb more magnesium if the concentration is lower and the consumption is more frequent.
To avoid problems, I suggest never taking large doses of vitamin d without also taking magnesium.

Hi Gemfly, thanks for answering.

My B12 levels are all right, just in the middle of range, also my magnesium.
I didn't know there are 4 forms of B12.
I will investigate it, are there suplements for all kinds of B12?

If you feel ok on 8,000iu, try going up to 10,000iu D3 daily. You need magnesium and Vitamin K2 (as long as you're not on blood thinner medications). Magnesium doses should be taken throughout the day.

The tingling sounds like Vitamin B12 deficiency as well. Get a blood test for B12.
B12 levels checked, not just serum B12 but HotoTC levels as well as MMA and Homocystein. B12 deficiency can cause depression and anxiety amongst other things.
You may need B12 shots. Do not take cyanocobalamin.

Good: B12 (Methylcobalamin)
Bad: B12 (cyanocobalamin)

there are 4 forms of B12, methylcobalamin, Adenosylcobalamin, Hydroxocobalamin and cyanocobalamin.

I am taking supplements for deficiencies as well.
