Rash 2 weeks post op .

I had a Sacrocolpopexy with a mesh two weeks ago . I had Cather in for one week . I took Ibuorofen 600 x a day for pain and four days ago. Broke out on my forearms with a red burning and itchy rash . The next night it spread to my knees and legs . I had the chills the first night and had a hard time peeing but went every 30 min .  I am drinking plenty of water. The Dr. finally returned my messages today . They said they have never heard of that happening and I should see my Dermatologist. I believe that I am allergic to the Ibuprofens . I stopped taking them on Sunday .Has anyone else get a rash 11 days post surgery .  Thanks Faye

I have havent heard of rashes but if you are having a difficult time urinating and this gets worse or painful and you have a temperature etc then call your surgeon again and also consider seeing your GP for more immediate help.  I hope your rash disappears now you have stopped taking ibuprifen.
Let us know how you get on
