Have i got a hernia?!

Hello, 2 months ago I had an incident where a ski chair lift came behind me and 'scooped' me up unexpectantly and my whole stomach especially my left side went into spasm. I was unable to stretch or sit up/twist at all without pain for about 2 weeks. The area of concern was swollen and extremely sore, it is now pain free but a solid lump around the size of a £1 located above and to the left of belly button. Thoughts are that it could be a hernia or healing muscle tear, any help would be appreciated. Thank you

I have a hernia in my stomach next to my belly button on the right side, it was easily diagnosed by way of sonogram.  The hernia I have is right next to where the laparoscopic surgery scar I have is.  Mine is easily pushed in but never stays in.  I have to hold it in when I bear down to use the restroom or it causes pain.
My doctors are aware of my hernia, she has asked many times if I would like to get it fixed.  I have opted not to do so.  As of now I am not in any danger, so I am making a choice for myself.
But if it is a hernia and you believe it's the best choice for you doctors can do wonders and fix you right up.  I hope this helps you.  Good luck I hope everything goes well, and works out for you.
