Vitamin D2 - 50,000 units once a week

My recent labs showed low vitamin D (14) so my doctor started me on subject
amount and type. My calcium was a bit high so I was Rx'd D2.

50,000 i.u. = 1.25mg.

D3 and D4 both have added I believe (D3 w/calcium) and (D4 with iron)?

My question is how long should it take to get in a normal range?

Thanks in advance!

It's usually recommended to take 10 000 IU of D3 daily, but I suppose 50 000 IU is close enough to get you to adequate levels.

Trouble is, it might not be as effective as taking smaller doses daily, but weekly is still better than monthly.

I'd give it about 4 to 5 months before allowing your levels of Vitamin D to reach adequacy (at least with those doses).
