Hello. I've sort of been there. I nursed my second child for longer than HE needed, I'm sure. I wasn't a huge proponent of breast feeding either . .. but enjoyed it once I did it and my second child refused anything that looked like a bottle, felt like a bottle, etc. I realized toward the end though that I was a human pacifier. Don't feel guilty--- it sounds like it is time. Your little one will probably not like this change but remember, we are creatures of habit and nursing is his habit. Does he take a bottle or sippy cup? My pediatrician in an effort to help suggested a bit of strawberry (like the Hershey's kind) in milk in the sippy cup to help entice my son to go for the sippy cup easier. To this day, he loves strawberry and chocolate milk. :>) But it did the trick. Does he have a luvey or love item like a blanket or a teddie? Have those around to offer for comfort. I stopped any and all day time nursing first. After a week or so, I then stopped the night time nursing. And then the morning one. Took a couple of weeks. But we made it through. Stay strong to the commitment. good luck
