Syncope or Something Else?

Hello. I am an 18 year old female. I began to have strange symptoms at about 16 years of age. I went to the doctor for these symptoms (which I will list in a moment) and was told I have POTS. Another doctor told me I have neurocardigenic syncope. My heart was monitored and no abnormalities were found, except tachycardia upon standing. The diagnosis was prompted by episodes I told them about. Here is what I know about them.

• The episodes only occur when I am lying down. They can also happen while I am asleep.
• I always know what is happening during. I do not forget the episodes.
• I am not able to open my eyes.
• I am not able to move, with the exception of a finger or toes if I try.
• I feel extreme dizziness/head pressure, along with the sense that I am going to pass out. I do not, but come very close.
• I have an incredible sense of fear and anxiety.
• I feel overheated and sweat much more than usual.
• I feel very disoriented, tired, and confused after.

I really need some help. I have generalized anxiety disorder, and quite frankly I am worried about my health.

Is this anytime you lay down or just in the middle of the night when you are sleeping and wake up?
