How long before simvastatine is out of your system?

Hello!

I have been using simvastatine since 2009, 40 mg.
Recently I lost some weight and I've been dieting, and that goes well, lost around 17 pounds so far.

I would like to have my cholesterol levels checked. I will stop using simvastatine for a while in order to obtain proper readings of the cholesterol levels. Does anybody know how long it takes for simvastatine leave the system and no longer influence cholesterol levels?

Thank you so much for taking time to read/answer my query!

Best regards,
Jaap

Two weeks is best, but get it cleared by your doctor before you stop.
