Could this be the start of menopause?

I just turned 39 years old for the last five years about two weeks before my period my breasts would swell and hurt. Okay that's not what my question is about just explaining this was normal before my period. I'm also very regular every 26-28 days 4-6 day period. Last month I was 10 days early pretty much just spotting for about 10 days 1 normal flow day in there. Yesterday 1day later than my period should have started I had spotting today nothing. My breasts didn't hurt last month or this month no swelling no usual hey your period is going to start sign. I do have occasional night sweats. I'm just curious if this could be the start of menopause? I know 39 is early but my mom said she went through it pretty early.

It could be, but even if so, at 39 there will probably be a pretty long time before the lack of a period is a regular thing, it would only be likely to happen every now and again.

But also, sometimes women just don't ovulate in a given month.  At 39 even with your family history, I'd be more apt to assume that is what happened to you.  If you don't ovulate, no period comes two weeks later.  See what happens next month.
