Is the first period after a miscarriage always this awful?

Have just started my first period after a miscarriage. I'm in absolute agony. I'm used to having pretty bad period pains but these are far worse. Can't even stand up and keep vomiting. Even my miscarriage wasn't this painful ☹️ any tips on relieving pain?

I don't remember my period after my miscarriage being much different from normal. I DO remember it came after a couple of months or so. Have you checked to see if the miscarriage completely eliminated all products of pregnancy? If you feel it's alright, just need pain relief, try hot water bags and OTC pain relievers. Hope you feel better soon!
