Dog and kidney failure. Help me please

Help please. My dog of almost 15 years old had kidney failure. I found out because I was giving him puppy food on accident . Puppy food has a lot of protein and fat, the worst you could give to a dog with kidney failure. I feel so guilty that his last week was spent having diarrhea and vomiting . I feel like I exacerbated my dogs kidney failure. Before my dog was getting puppy food , he would sleep a lot but he would still love to go on walks. He would jump up and down for food . And his last week he couldn't even stand , he was so wobbly. I thought he has just ate something from the garden and that he would be ok in a couple of days . He got so skinny the last week. Please , do you think my dog hates me ? That he forgives me ? He was my everything. I feel so bad he had to go like that.

My dogs kidney levels were so high the computer couldn't even read them .
