How can I cure my acute GERD?

I've been suffering with this lump in my throat for weeks now. The doctor prescribed me pepcid a.c
I don't have heartburn, just a huge lump that will not go away. I've tried eating smaller meals, drinking more water, drinking less water. It constantly feels like I'm gonna throw up, and sometimes I do. I've been out of work for a week, and I can't keep living like this. I've tried various acid reducers, but they just turn my stomach contents into a foam, and I throw up foam. It doesn't actually do anything.
It's complete agony, please help. I'm an 18 year old male. 6ft, 175lbs. I don't smoke or drink. I very rarely consume caffeine.

I think what I'd do is go back to the doctor and let them know this isn't helping.  I'm sorry you are dealing with this!
