False positive result from prenatal dna test?

Falsee positive result from prenatal dna test? My test was from DDC. Timing just doesn’t add up right I tested him to get him out of the way and results came back 99.9% he is the father. I conceived the week of Nov 10-15. The guy I tested was Oct 30th. The guy who I wanted to be the father was Nov 2nd & Nov 13th (the actual day I supposedly conceived).

It’s really hard to get a false positive . I used ravgen and did tons of research . There was one girl on the baby site whose ddc guy who tested positive was questioned bc the ultrasound was 3 weeks off from the date she had sex . Once the baby was born she retested and ddc was right and her ultrasound was wrong . She’s on the baby center site under a ddc post from this year . You can find the post and read about it . I have yet to hear of false positives

She even had an early ultrasound . I used ravgen and had my baby and my results were correct ! I tested both men . If you question it call ddc and ask them to retest for free bc of concerns and see what they say .
I don’t see how an early ultrasound would be 3 weeks off. Maybe she was measuring ahead and they never changed her due date. Because this would mean she had a period in between and also was pregnant for 10 months?
Another possibility was that someone had a chemical pregnancy, and then got pregnant again immediately in the next cycle, and it wasn't detected and everything was counted from the earlier period. It is really hard to determine where the problem is, when the ultrasound is "off" or considered wrong.

If the guy you want to be the father refused to test, wait until the baby comes, and do a DNA test of the kind that is certified by the courts to determine paternity, and do it with both guys. The courts will not take prenatal tests as evidence for establishing paternity, and you will need a court-approved DNA test. If the guy from November continues to refuse, see a lawyer. You are not obliged to tell the attorney that you got a prenatal test with the first guy that said he is the dad, since it can't be used as evidence anyway. And besides, you aren't even convinced it is accurate.

Is that possible an ultrasound off by 3 weeks?
Tin, it is not possible for an ultrasound to be off by 3 weeks if the ultrasound is early in the pregnancy. It is theoretically possible by the very end of pregnancy (40 weeks' gestation) that if the baby grows a lot faster or slower than normal, he or she might not match the standard charts by up to three weeks either direction. That said, a lot of times the ultrasound remains right on for the whole length of the pregnancy.

There is also the problem that if someone says "the ultrasound was off by three weeks," it can be hard to tell where they got that statement. People don't always understand their doctors or even remember accurately what they say, and the count of weeks of the pregnancy time period that doctors use begins at the first day of the woman's last period, not at conception. But just from the statement that something is "off by x weeks," it is not clear where the error lies. It's always better to say exactly (and only) what the doctor or ultrasound tech said about due dates, and how late in the pregnancy the ultrasound was. Otherwise a person can go down any number of rabbit holes trying to figure out what was really said.

It's pretty hard to get a false positive on a pregnancy test compared to a false negative, and sperm can live a long time in the woman's reproductive tract. Women often write in who doubt their prenatal test results, always ones who did not test with both men. I assume you didn't test with the other guy?
