Doctors Unsure. Weird Walk?

I’m a 28 year old female. The last few months, I’ve been having trouble walking. This trouble walking stems from my left leg, I think. My knee barely bends, leg swings out to the side in a circular motion, and there’s a foot drop. I trip a lot because of it, and can’t walk the distances I used to be able to. I can barely even walk down the street or in a large store. I saw an orthopedic specialist who was concerned about MS. He referred me to a neurologist. The neurologist does not think I have MS. In fact, she has never seen a walk like mine before. She seemed utterly confused.

What could this be?

Which started first the foot drop or the knee?

Same time I think? I can't remember, though.

Do you see a neurologist?  Tripping frequently is often a sign of neurological issues.  It could be other things but I'd make sure to be evaluated soon.  I'm glad that the MRI was clear though so you are on your way of ruling things out.  Hopefully it is something easy to fix and agree that sometimes it can be simple like a pinched nerve for sure.  good luck

Yes, I’ve seen a neurologist, and so far she has no clue.

Walk has been worse the last few days, and both ankles have started giving out.

Hello~I truly think that seeing a chiropractor would be of great benefit. You could have some pinched nerves or misplaced vertebrae in your lower back causing the trouble. The chiropractor will take some x-rays, study them, and discuss with you the findings and the plan of action. After a few treatments, you should start to feel better.

I hope so. My brain MRI was normal, but my walk is worsening. The last few days a new related symptom has begun. Now my ankles give out every few minutes of walking.
