Does arrow down or ↓ used to describe a patient who is depressed?

I have some medical notes about myself which I got from a hospital. In one of the sentences it states refering to me that "She is currently ↓ " using the downwards arrow symbol. Does this arrow down symbol mean I am currently depressed - or suffering with depression?

I don't think that the down arrow means that you are depressed, it could mean various things like the patient is in a down mood (like just upset), or any number of other things, it's very hard to tell what the note meant without talking to the doc that made it.  Is there another reason you think you maybe suffering with depression?   If you were suffering from depression and they diagnosed you, they would have informed you of the diagnosis- did they mention anything of the sort?

I as in a psychiatric hospital a few years ago. I had suicidal thoughts at that time. 95% of me wanted to be dead, and 5% in me forced myself to get help.
I was admitted to a psychiatric hospital. The psychiatrist I was dealing with, told me I wasn't depressed, and I got no change in my anti depressants, no proper treatment at all. He said you are not depressed so there is nothing I can do for you. I asked for a second opinion while I was in the hospital. The second doctor said the same as the first.
I knew how I was suffering, and I was telling them the truth. I made a complaint to the hospital, but they discharged me saying I was not depressed. My health continued to deteriorate, and a few short months after that I tried to take my own life twice.
This evening, I was going over some medical records from that hospital. I found a letter composed by a member of that psychiatrists team, stating in writing that I was ↓ . I got it confirmed by my health insurance records as well, where the hospital stated I was depressed, but lied to me, and refused to help me at that awful time in my life.

Can you believe that?
I'm so sorry for all you have been through!  Are you under a different providers care now?  Are you doing better?
That's nothing compared to the 5 years I went through before that. After I attempted suicide twice a few months after leaving that hospital, I begged my doctor for help - again the 5% of me that forced myself to get help. I was admitted to a different psychiatric hospital where they saved my life. I was diagnosed with severe anxiety and depression, a personality disorder, PTSD, and a dissociative disorder.
The doctors there saved my life, and I am still not better, as I need alot more treatment which I can't afford, as I'm unable to work, as I can't function like a normal human being every day.
I'll get there though. I'm glad I found this letter this evening. It proves the hospital knew I was very sick, did nothing to help me, and discharged me, knowing the state I was in. I'll get there though. Thank you for reading my post.
