I had my laparotomy for endometriotic cyst removal

I had laparotomy for endometriotic cyst over both ovaries 5 and 8 cms on 14 May 18. Cysts were removed and ovaries intact. I Was over with my periods on 10 May. Now a couple of days past my procedure I have again started to bleed. Doctor says it’s normal. I am worried if it really is?

Surgery, and any type of physical trauma for that matter, can disrupt your normal cycle. It's even more likely to happen if it's pelvic surgery and involves those organ(s). So no need to worry. I'm glad to hear your surgeon removed just the cysts. Sadly, many take the easy way out and remove the whole ovary (which causes permanent harm even if it's just one ovary). I hope your recovery is uneventful.
