Colon / bowel cancer? Flat stools for 2 years?

They are flat, but width is about the width of a ruler. I beieve I have hemorrhoids, can they cause thin/flat stool? Sometimes I occasionally have thicker/more normal sized stools. Could this be cancer? Not likely?

27yo white male in the US

Thin, or ribbon like, stools are usually indicative of some sort of obstructive issue within the colon, or within the abdominal cavity pressing on the wall of the colon, therefore obstructing passage of normal sized, or normal shaped stool. If it is also accompanied by blood, of ANY quantity or color, SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION IMMEDIATELY!
