What's causing my bloody stools?

I'm 31 and within the past week and half including up till today I have pooped 8times and they've all been bright red blood and my tummy has felt icky and been told before I may have a stomach ulcer but haven't been to a doctor to have myself checked out.I do have acid feeling probs in my lower tummy from time to time after drinking coca cola some days and decide I don't need no more soda for the day. I bought some ranitidine and the bottle says don't take if having bloody stools..and I'm also curious why shouldn't I take it? I've had a bit of tummy pain here and there  just want opinions before I go to the ER.

If you are having bloody stools like that, get into the doctor- that's not normal and can be a sign of some serious issues.  Let us know how you do at the doctor and I hope you are feeling better soon!
