Just like to add the woman I got it from was HIV positive and I received oral sex from her. She found out several months later had HIV I never contracted HIV and I had suspected she gave me something a week after she performed oral sex on me I did not go get tested for things until she found out she had HIV and told me was told I was in the all clear yet was experiencing the discharge for another few months or so and then it became prostatitis and I slowly stopped getting the discharge. I had taken azithromycin 1 pack 10 days and Doxy for 10 and 21 bactrim for 3 mos god everything else in the book . I knew the first day waking up after taking the moxifloxacin and rifampin I feel that the reason this mycoplasma strain was so vicious and highly resilient was due to the fact it was breeding inside someone immunocompromised .
Basically I'll help you settle this. What made you first thing you had something wrong. If it was the discharge and you aren't sure if you had it before or not that means you didn't because you would t have just out the blue noticed something. Alot of people have mycoplasma and when some people are infected by these these bacteria symptoms can range from one person to the next mild to none at all the only dehabiligating symptom is the prostatitis and the urination where it feels like your constipated but out of your penis. Horrible feeling. I say you go to a doctor lie say your girl friend was diagnosed with antibiotic resistant chlamydia and require a fluroquinonone class drug to kill it. That way when your done the th antibiotics the chance of there being something going on becomes so slim. It has to be a fluroquinonone class antibiotic other than Cipro unless it is a recent infection and has not spread to the prostate which in that case moxifloxacin due to the prostate penetration is much more reliable. Also there is no reliable test for men many times couple's will frequent test positive when the other is negative and vice versa... Which is scary when you think about it.... Anyway if you have symptoms of discharge you need antibiotics and best case is to go to a clinic that specializes in STDs and pregnancy and just tell them hey I have this and get the meds and make sure u finish all of them we don't need more antibiotic resistant strains going around I spread enough antibiotic resistant nonspecific urethitis for the both of us. Guarantee the cases that keep popping up across the country share a common link to either me or the woman I got it from. Gross I know.
I had mycoplasma genitalium for 16 years. I knew something was wrong started as clear discharge became epydymitis and prostatitis I dealt with it in agony told nothing was wrong even was part of a chronic bacterial prostatitis study. Fast forward ten more years as I ignored it went on my life I gave it to someone who gave it to a guy in the British army. And he was given pristinamycin and diagnosed with mycoplasma genitalium a STD they do not test for in the U.S. and it is highly resistant to antibiotics. I was cured finally after all these years after rifampin and moxifloxacin. I knew within 3 days of taking it that it was working. Mind you my doctor listened to the whole story I never mentioned to this doc I was suffering prostatitis all this time and he took my word on the research I did. Previously I had been on multiple month courses of many antibiotics including Cipro. Which had it not festered to become prostatitis would have worked. This was all back in late 2000s forward to 2018 I found out about it jumping from a female to another male and dig deeper finally contacted him directly you see I gave it to this female after I myself contracted it from an Australian woman in 2002. Anyway. To everyone with prostatitis and being told nothing is wrong demand moxifloxacin and rifampin. If this fails you will either need to acquire pristinamycin from over seas or find a doc who understands and will get you on I.V. synercid. This is a horrific STD and what makes it worse is doctors telling you is in your head and then you go pass it to more people. It effects men only so unless you speak to mutual partners of a woman you've been with there is no way to make the connection inorder to convince a doctor it is bacterial and transmittable to others.
