Have brownish spots on arm and have no idea what they are..

So about 6 months ago I got a rash on my ankle that I paid no attention to until it spread a little and eventually led to a boil and staph infection. I was treated for that and then got folliculitis that was infected with staph. Hairs were growing sideways out of my face and arms. I was prescribed cipro for 10 days and within the first hour of my first dose I f could feel burning in my arms exactly where hairs were going to protrude out of sideways. They cleared up and left behind these brownish spots that vary is size and shape. They are not scars as hair grows through them and they do peel a bit. I've had this for  a few months at least. Anyone have any clue what they could be??

It sounds like your skin is still healing.  Keeping it moisturized might help, but you don't want to clog your pores and risk infection again.  Maybe coconut oil  rubbed into the area once or twice a day would be useful.  Also, don't scrub or scratch the spots, you want to be gentle on them so they can heal.

Make sure you're getting enough vitamins as well.  They sell special formulas for hair, skin, and nails which might help give your body the building blocks to grow healthy skin.

If you get any signs of the infection coming back make sure you get to the doctor right away, insurance or not - it'll be worse to treat if it gets out of control.  Also, there is a soap called Hibiclens, which you can buy on Amazon.  I had an awful skin infection once that antibiotics didn't help, and I also had no insurance.  It took me 6 months to find Hibiclens, and it worked to clear my skin.  It will dry your skin out a little, so only use it when needed.  When you do need it, rub a little on to your skin and let it dry on there for a while (maybe overnight).

Good luck!

Omg I found hibicleanse a few weeks ago! Amazing stuff....especially on my beard area. I also got glycolic(sp) which is like a peel lite. It does an amazing job at killing the dead skin cells and my face has been so smooth. I also use African black soap to shower as the Shea butter really is amazing for the few ingrown hairs elsewhere on my body though nowhere near as bad.
I feel like exactly what you said....a skin infection. I felt just....sick and gross all the time and now I can actually go out in public without shame lol. Thank you for your response....longest 6 months of my life lol
OMG yes.  When I had it it was terrible.  I have no idea the cause, except that I'm a woman and went off birth control pills at the same time that it started.  It was on my neck and cheeks, and I wore thick makeup to hide it (I hate makeup).  It was a terrible time, I hated how I looked.  Now if it ever seems like it might start again I use the Hibiclens for a few days to clear it up.  I'm glad you were able to find relief!

Thank you for responding :). I would have no issues going except I am off my medical insurance now and money is just crazy. It's a shame when I could cry for help but they hand out there hands first.

Hello~If you have not done so already, I highly suggest seeing a dermatologist, he/she will be more knowledgeable in determining what is going on. It almost sounds like a type of allergy.
