Should we give our son Lupron and Arimidex or just Arimidex?

Our son is 10 years old with bone age of 12, he is 5'1" tall and 110lbs.  He has been diagnosed with precocious puberty and the doctor has recommended Arimidex and Lupron.  I am concerned about side effects and if its benefits will out weigh the risks.

Oh, I answered on the other thread you wrote on.  I had asked about specifics for your son.  So, he is 10 and 5 foot 1.  Precocious puberty is normally when puberty sets in before 9 1/2 but suppose you are pretty close to that.  How was your son diagnosed?  What tests did they run?  Lupron, as I wrote in my previous post seems to have some negative side effects associated with it. One lasting one is thin bone density.  But women are much more plagued by that than men.  In fact, Precocious puberty is much more common in girls in general so a lot of what you read about it is geared toward girls.  If you are wanting your child to grow more, prolonging full puberty could work for you.  But yes, I'd expect some side effects.  Hard decision.
