Muscle twitching 10 weeks pregnant

At about 9 weeks pregnant I started to have a muscle twitch in my upper left back that came and went at various times. After about a week it has become pretty constant, spreading down my side and arm and even twitching randomly around my body. Could this be pregnancy related or possibly something neurological, I am very worried

Hi!  Congrats on your pregnancy.  So, muscle twitching can be from anxiety. :>)  Are you stressed over the pregnancy?  Stress and tension can create this situation in muscles.  Also certain muscle deficiencies can cause this.  I would not think of this as anything serious but something to check out.  Did you see your ob last week or are you scheduled to see your ob this next week?  (most women see their ob's at the 8 to 9 week mark (when you can often hear the heartbeat on doppler).  You can always call your ob to run this by them but will suspect they will just have you monitor it and talk about it at your next appointment.

Is it super annoying?  Causing you not to sleep?

I did mention it to the OB, she didn’t think it was related and suggested an extra banana. It is annoying, it’s waking me from sleep. I’m not overly stressed, excited actually, as it has been a long road to this pregnancy. I may try magnesium to see if that helps. Thank you for your answer
