Suboxone and Lexapro used together?

Can anyone tell me if it's safe to take lexapro and suboxone.

From what I've read, this is not a great combination.  Did one doctor prescribe both of these or two different ones?   I commend you for using suboxone for reasons that will benefit your life while trying to work on the mental health piece since addiction recovery and mood issues often go hand in hand.  So, good job but this particular combination is one I'd worry about.

Yes, your psychiatrist or other physician.  You can also Google either of them and see if they are listed in the contraindications.  While the two drugs do not directly target the same neurotransmitters, when you affect any brain neurotransmitter you can affect the others.  They also might both be sedating, depending on the person.  Lots to consider.  Even a good pharmacist might have an answer, but again, for this kind of question especially why people usually use suboxone you really need to talk to your docs.  Hope it goes well for you.
