Recurring pus filled pimple near groin area

I got a pimple like thing near my groin, near where the thigh meets the torso. It was filled with pus and then it drained successfully. However, now there's a black aberration(skin has turned dark) where it used to be and it feels sort of hollowed out. Every few months the place gets filled with pus and needs to be drained again. Any ideas on what it is, why it's recurring and how I can stop it? Also, any suggestion how to get back normal skin tone?

So, try not to drain pus out of something yourself. Great way to get an infection!  We can get simply an ingrown hair that does this.  Or it could be a little cyst or boil.  My suggestion is to not touch it.  Let it be and see if it heals in a few days.  If not, then see your doctor.

You need to get this sore looked at by a healthcare provider. There are many differential diagnosis, and your doctor will be able to help you based on your presentation and medical history. Some of the more common causes for changes in skin color are illness, injury, and inflammatory problems. I wish you all the best!
