My wrist went limp and my hand is bloated

My wrist went limp three days ago and my hand is bloated, honestly I cannot type well so  forgive me if my hand writing is off. I only could type with one hand. All of my fingers on my left wrist are still working, but I lost complete usage of my wrist when I tried to move it it doesn’t work I don’t have a history of alcoholism or any back pain really. This just happened all of a sudden. The only thing that I could think of is that I used to lean on my wrist to watch television. Could that cause this? What should I do? I really don’t know what to do and I’m really afraid.

Sorry you are having this difficulty with your wrist.  Welcome to the forum and thank you for the question.  It would be wise to see your doctor to examine this.  There could be any of a number of reasons for why you are having these symptoms and they will be best to help you answer why this is happening and what to do about it.  It seems you are having numbness that you describe as being limp? And swelling which you describe as being bloated?  Here is a page that discusses all sorts of ailments that affect the wrist  https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/wrist-pain/symptoms-causes/syc-20366213

I would also wonder about lymphedema.  Have you been bitten by a cat or human?  Strange question but relevant.

Let us know how you are doing.
