Can i have a broken finger? I hurt it yesterday

I closed a window on my finger really hard. It hurts a lot and it looks like it has a bump. It was my pointer finger close to the articulation of the tip.
Yesterday it was a little swollen, red and kinda dark. And I couldnt move my finger a lot. I put ice on it and a gel. Today it still hurts a lot, still looks a little bit weird and its hard to move.
What should i do?

You should see a doctor and get an X-ray to rule out fracture.

Ouch.  Sounds painful.  And absolutely, it could be broken.  Sounds like it may be as you have some of the symptoms such as redness, pain, swelling and it 'looking weird' may be that it is out of place.  You need to go ahead and head in for an X ray in my opinion. They often will put a splint on it to help it heal correctly.  Icing it was great, exactly what you should do and I'd take ibuprofen to reduce swelling and help with pain. But ultimately, you probably need to get it looked at and x rayed to know if it is fractured.  Let me know, okay?

I havent gone to the hospital, its not swollen nor black anymore, but it still hurts. I can move it but not 100%. I dont know if i should go to the hospital seeing ir got a little better in a week. What do you suggest?
How's it doing?

By now it's either a lot better, or not, and if it isn't, you should see a doctor. Is going to the hospital the only option? Can you go to a regular doctor?
