did i expose to TB after all these years?

So 15 years ago i had a relation with someone who recently died from TB. i'm sure i haven't met this person for the last 4 years at least and I'm just so nervous that i got infected by that person when we were in a relation 15 years back.
i know that non-active TB can't be contagious but my question is:
Can it be possible that person had active TB for all this time without knowing or getting treated? or is't more likely it was active during the last few years only?

I would not think you should be worried about exposure of TB by someone you haven't seen for 15 years. If they had it way back when, it was latent tb and that is rarely contagious.  Here is a fact sheet about latent phase tb. https://www.cdc.gov/tb/publications/factsheets/general/ltbiandactivetb.htm  I would not think you should worry about this.

Thanks for your answer! So if she really had it active and untreated back then she wouldn't stay alive for 15 years or live a normal life all this time right?
Seriously, I'd read what I wrote.  :)  Don't let anxiety overtake your rational thinking.  You have no symptoms and latent TB is not contagious generally.
