Did anyone’s tongue stay to the right side inside your cheek?

I had mild to severe right shoulder upper arm pain with numbness/ tingling in hand for a few days.
I can’t really remember exactly what I was doing at the time..all of a sudden my arm became completely stiff and the pain was awful. My tongue shifted to the right inside my cheek and I couldn’t move it...I couldn’t speak clearly.
My BP was 220/194 ( I’ve never had high bp in my life).
I could hear what people were saying and asking ...my brain was severely lagging and I couldn’t get my brain to let my body do what they were asking.
My son said I kept grabbing my thigh and saying it was numb( I have no recollection of this)
The ER doc had a sheet where he kept a list of my symptoms with a point score . They said my face was drooping which they gave 2 or 3 points , severely slurred speech 3 points , tongue to the right 1 point or whatever the point system was. My arm would not move and hurt so badly. They asked me a lot of questions that I had trouble comprehending. They showed me pictures of things that I couldn’t see at all because my vision was severely blurred and had no idea what they were. I couldn’t raise my left arm. I couldn’t stick out my tongue ...I was able to raise my eyebrows. I also don’t remember all of what happened.
They wanted to give me tPa...I was too scared to take it as I am a single mom of a preteen and I have allergies to so many medications. Also , he said I could suffer from brain bleed or die. And they wanted to keep me for several days and I didn’t want to leave my son. So , I opted not to take it.
They wanted to do an MRI after the CT scan. They put me in the MRI machine and I couldn’t breath ...so they let me out.( unable to get images)
My symptoms lasted for about 3 hours or so and began to subside except for my left arm. It’s been 3 days and my arm continues to hurt and lock up where I cannot move it.
They wanted to keep me for several days and I just wanted to go home so they let me go. The doctor said I had a stroke and also said that I was too young at 52.
I have severe migraines / ocular migraines  and hot flashes( in menopause 5.5 years now)
Other than kidney disease I have always been healthy.
Just wondering if any of this sounds familiar to anyone especially the tongue thing.
Thank you for taking the time to read and reply.

Hello and welcome to the forum.  You've been through so much and we're sorry to hear about this.  Please always work closely with your doctors and follow their guidance.  52 is indeed very young for a stroke but not unheard of.  I'm concerned that you didn't stay for further testing.  Even if not admitted, you should work with a neurologist to get answers to what is going on.  Really, your life could depend on it.  Tongues protruding to one side happens when there is a nerve issue and the tongue will go toward the weaker side.  http://neurosigns.org/wiki/Tongue_deviation  I do believe you need the full neurological work up.  It can be inconvenient but is important for your health.  Let me know the most current update of the situation.
