Past exposure with symptoms

I had What started as protected sex for a bit then a brief unprotected vaginal sex and unprotected oral both ways with a female who told me she is clean. But I have heard other details through town about being promiscuous. I know this doesn’t change my behavior as well. About 5 days after I had white spots on my tonsils that later progressed to a couple hour fever and swollen nodes on the right side of my neck. I went to see my physician and he prescribed me amoxicillin which cleared up my throat within a few days. I asked about hiv and hsv and he wasn’t concerned and said he believed it was bacterial in nature since it cleared with antibiotics. I asked the lady a few more times about status and she claimed she was clean. But this didn’t help fix my anxiety.

I had negative oraquick oral swab tests at 4, 5, 6, 8 and 9 (66 days) and all were negative.

I’m having a hard time moving on from this and would like some input. The symptoms really scared me.

There is no timer inside a human's blood system that goes off at 84 days. If you used 83 you were 98.8% of the way depending on which hour of the day you did it. Test again if you feel worried otherwise move on.
We rely on the opinion of expert doctors so do not pay attention to whatever you located saying 90 days otherwise we will be here arguing all day about what goes on in someone else's mind.

Would most people consider 83 days conclusive with an oral swab oraquick?
I have no idea what most people are supposed to think. You have to make your own decision.

"I had negative oraquick oral swab tests at 4, 5, 6, 8 and 9 (66 days) and all were negative."

If testing at "4-5-6-8-9" weeks don't bring you the peace of mind, you need to perhaps see your counselor to fix your anxiety issues. I am confident that you already know you have tested negative, definitively.

The reason you are here at the first place was due to anxiety, it was your assumption that your partner is HIV positive, it's highly probable she isn't.

You can keep asking questions here all day long but it's not going to lead you any where, fix what the real issue is, keep working with your counselor to overcome it.

You don't need to test any further and certainly don't have a concern that belong to HIV prevention forum.

Goodluck.

Thanks Mike! It’s something I will admit I have struggled with. I will seek a counselor. I think what made me concerned is I haven’t found anyone that has said 9 week oraquick oral swab should be considered definitive. Which led to my anxiety.
Sorry Mike, one last question. Are you saying an oraquick oral test swab at 9 weeks should be considered conclusive?
Although, the recommendation is to test at 12 week with an oral swab tests for a conclusive. However, a 9 week's negative changing ahead is unlikely. Nonetheless, your risk was very low. You could get a final one at 12 week for your own peace of mind, despite taking that test, if you are still unable to move on, see a therapist. I foresee a negative.
Thanks Mike. I will take one at 12 weeks. I hope the 9 week is accurate but if 12 is conclusive, I will take one then as well. I feel good about all the negatives up to 9 1/2 weeks. Just not sure how accurate those oral swabs are. Ive read good and bad things.
All you have to do is wait for 12 for a conclusive result and avoid thinking about the test. The more you google the more anxious you will become because there is nothing useful there and you will just locate vague, worrisome, and useless ideas like the one you just posted - the first step to peace is to stop googling cold turkey.
I had another negative oral fluid test at 10 1/2 weeks.
It is not necessary to report test results here because no one keeps track of them.

I took an 83 day oraquick swab test today and it was negative. I thought is was 84 days but I must have miss calculated. Is this conclusive or should I have another swab tomorrow?
Can anyone answer if 83 days can be considered conclusive or do I need to get another oral swab test tomorrow? Sorry for the posts.
That's conclusive for any test.   You do not have HIV.
Then why do people say 84 days? Mine was an oraquick oral swab home test kit at 83 days, one day shy of the 84 days. Then some people say 90 days? I’m just confused.

I had negative in home oraquick swab tests at 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 ,10 1/2 weeks and then finally the 83rd day negative.

Is it likely for a 9 week oraquick swab to change?

The guidelines are set up based on testing and scientific principles. I don't follow probability data for early tests because you are just one person so the odds aren't any guarantee. I would try to forget about this until you can test. Why don't  you do a duo test now?

I had a negative in-home oraquick oral swab at 91 days. That makes 7 negative tests since exposure. Can this be considered conclusive and do I need a blood test for HIV after this result?
Reread all of the testing advice since you are so anxious that you haven't understood it. I'm sure you know what conclusive means.

". I will seek a counselor. " Seek the counselor instead of wasting your life doing endless tests then questioning the result afterwards.

I have reread the advice but what to know if an in- home oral swab oraquick self-test at 91 days is conclusive and doesn’t require a blood test or any further testing. Can you confirm this for me, please? Then I will move on and take your advice.
As you were previously advised, ANY HIV test taken at least 12 weeks post-exposure is conclusive.  There is nothing  further for our members to add regarding your conclusive test.

You only need to test once at the appropriate time. Oraquick requires 84 days. No one here pays attention to symptoms and you shouldn't either because docs can only diagnose from a test. Or you can do a duo any time since it is after 4 weeks to get a conclusive result.

How likely do tests change after 9 weeks with the oraquick? It was weird my doc didn’t see a concern for testing.
